Compounding for Veterinarians

We know that giving medications to animals can be tough, sometimes!  Working as a “triad” (patient, medical provider, pharmacist), we at the Share ‘n Care Compounding Pharmacy can prepare innovative, easy to use dosage forms for the animal patients.  We do not practice veterinary medicine, but we do work with veterinarians to solve their challenging medication problems.  We have a state-of-the-art compounding lab and clean room.  We use modern technology, innovative medication dosing devices and high-quality bulk pharmaceuticals to compound a variety of problem solving medications.

We also can flavor your patients’ medication with a variety of flavor choices, depending on the animal type and taste preferences.  For example, canines often prefer liver, cheese, peanut butter, and beef.  Salmon, tuna, and sardine for cats.  Tutti-frutti and banana are especially acceptable for birds.  Apples and caramel are favorites for your equine patients.  We also will assist vets in flavoring for exotics and zoo animals.

Some animal medicines are available only in one tablet size, making it difficult for the animal to swallow.  We can compound dosage forms that are just the right size for your patient, or, you may need a concentrated dosage for a small animal or a bird.  We can compound the medication into the smaller increment needed, or concentrate a medication for larger animals.

The next time you have a challenging medication problem; contact us at the Share ‘n Care Compounding Pharmacy.  We are always happy to work with you. Veterinary Flavors:
